Copper tapes – and derivatives – can be pretty useful in DIY projects. This week, I posted about my use of such an item to re-build a vintage computer battery pack that went wrong after sitting idle for years. There are various models available on the market (with and without plastic protection, with one or multiple strips of metal, different thicknesses, etc.), but in all cases, always check that they can carry the amperage your project needs. Although it was out of the question for this project, you can also find electric inks on the market! I should look into it and come up with some creative ideas to show how cool they are :). If you have used any of these materials in your own projects, please share your experiences here.

I use the copper tape that is meant for making stain glass windows for low profile interconnects with LED strips.
The led strips are in rows and the copper tape in columns to make large light panels for photography.
Jim In Ashland sounds like a cool and interesting use! Thanks for sharing.
