A few weeks ago, my dear wife surprised me with a thoughtful and moving birthday gift—something I never saw coming. I know she spent a lot of time and effort on it. Thank you, love! You may not realize this, but I can’t imagine life without music, so you can imagine my delight and emotion when she presented me with my tiny anthem. I was truly swept away.

Just to clarify, I’m not talking about some generic, AI-generated hit song—it’s hard to believe those even exist these days and make the charts! I had never heard of Tiny Anthems (here), so I assume you may not be familiar with it either. Mike, the creator, has been making custom songs for almost a decade, and what he does is really impressive.

I received a song about … me, titled “Jamel, Whose Spirit Has Been Encrypted to Song.” I’ve embedded the song below for you to listen to if you’re curious. I wonder how many details you’ll be able to connect back to what you know about me (leave it as a comment, friends). It took me several listens to catch the obvious ones, and I’m still discovering more. This really shows the level of thought and reflection that Mike and my wife put into it—it’s mind-blowing!

She even shared with me some key email exchanges she had with Mike, which are almost as revealing, if not more, than the tiny anthem itself. I can see why my ears were ringing a few months ago 😊. This is definitely one of the most personal gifts I have ever received. Thank you, Love, and bravo, Mike!
