I just received my Intel Edison board. Well, I should say my boards. Indeed, the package contains the amazingly small, compact and light Edison itself, and its breakout and power bard. This will allow me to re-use the Edison to power all the developments I made for the Arduino and Intel Galileo (first and second-gen), but also opens up for the creation of amazingly compact systems in the future! Enjoy the family pictures.

I don’t know the IO speeds on that but running linux, the Galileo sucked.

Hi David. I do not have any IO measurement available at this stage. Also, none of my development really requires high IO bandwidth, so I was not impacted by the limitations of the first generation board. You may have already seen these optimizations/workarounds, but other may be interested: https://communities.intel.com/mobile/mobile-access.jspa#jive-content?content=%2Fapi%2Fcore%2Fv3%2Fcontents%2F176634
Nice pictures i already used the Edison and Galileo they are pretty nice boards
