This year’s PRGE seemed busier than the previous editions. And that’s good news as it shows that retro gaming is becoming mainstream. Few mental notes I made to myself during the visit. There was almost no retro computing. Old 8-bit Atari games were missing… The arcade & game section of the expo was really interesting this year with a lot of very different systems and plenty of games for all tastes. I even found a Commodore PET 4016 with a Tetris-like game written in BASIC! Yeah, and it was open-source ;-). Last but not least, and maybe that’s the price for becoming mainstream, some vendors are asking astronomical prices. A Falcon 30 for $1200 or a Vectrex for $600. Even eBay is cheaper :). I reassure you, these are the exceptions, all the rest was very reasonably priced.
