Today, I found a nice copy of the SEGA ZAXXON game for Atari 400/800. I don’t know for you, but I always found that this isometric shooting game was a technical tour de force! I was pretty pleased, because while it is fairly easy to find game cartridges for the 8-bit Atari computers – those are really indestructible –, I rarely find games on a floppy. The box is in good condition and the game is complete, also including the cassette tape. In particular, I find very interesting the business reply card. Although the goodies seem stimulating (a heat transferable 8”x10” ZAXXON Art, way too cool), but more importantly, I find the back of the card fascinating and revealing of the era. It starts as: “Are you an experienced, assembly-language programmer? …”. Good old times!
