I’ve spent last week to go thru the various pre-flight preparations. First, we registered ourselves with the FAA, and went thru the various regulations. Very basic and lot of common sense. If you fly am UAV for the living, obtaining your license is a bit more involved. But for recreational use, it is kids play. I used the time to get used with the various parts and controls. The Kit is shipped with a USB dongle that you can pair your controller with, and use a simulator to train. Good idea. The simulator is pretty accurate and helped me to get acquainted with the beast. Even pushing the limits. A great learning and a good prep for the maiden flight. One note: the batteries could benefit from a smart charger interface.
