Quick test today with brass screw inserts into 3D printed parts. This will allow me to securely install the computer boards into the rocket’s electronic bays for example. Yep it works. If you have a variable temp soldering station you can set the tip to an appropriate temperature, a little higher than melting point. If you are handy you can wire a dimmer switch to do roughly the same thing except for the exacting temp. its more trial and error.
