For Carl Sagan’s B-Day, Bill Nye is sharing the reason why he joined the society. It can be seen here. Professor Sagan has a unique space in my heart; after all, he, through his book and TV show Cosmos was the spark that ignited my love for science and technology. So, in my way, I want to thank him for that. Without proselytism, the same thinkers can make a change by joining and contributing to the Planetary Society co-founded by Carl. To me, one of the greatest achievements of the Society was to make solar sailing a reality (learn more here).
